This usually happen when someone download xecheck8 files and try to manually update their xecheck7 files. Xecheck 8 must be purchased separately, the differences between the two are very significant.

XeCheck8 will automatically import your Xecheck 7 data so you will not skip a beat.

Last three weeks I have been getting the following message when I update Xecheck:error extracting c:\program files\versure\xecheck70 "I believe there is more but does not show"; Then after the download I get a popup window that says data invalid can't extract. Then the program restarts. Ver 7.522, File ver 7511.

Now that I completely followed instructions for setting permissions under Vista, XeCheck is working fine for me. Just a few minutes ago it automatically downloaded and installed another update. Keep up the good work!!

By default Windows Vista comes with most permissions turned off. XeCheck need to be run in administrator mode to apply updates, therefore you must explicitly set the administrator permission using the instruction below:

>
>go to the xecheck install folder
>drive:\Program Files\Versure\xecheck70
>
>right click on xecheck.exe ->properties -> Compatibility
>at the bottom of the window, check of Run as administrator.

If you are having trouble with getting product updates on vista, try the following:

go to the xecheck install folder
drive:\Program Files\Versure\xecheck70

right click on xecheck.exe ->properties -> Compatibility
at the bottom of the window, check of Run as administrator.

Do the same for upgrade.exe
